A 5 Part Series on Inside the Mindset that Created COVID-19 Pandemic
A Visitation
If you were an extra-terrestrial being and you just happen to find yourself on earth, humans would look like characters from sci-fi movies.
Why?
Because of the cladded faces due to COVID-19 pandemic.
It is not normal for humans made in the image of God to go about their day with cladded faces
How about you? What do you make of humans in cladded faces? What is your take on it?
I have two views about it.
On one hand, although we must put it on, I think it is absolutely disgusting and humiliating. A human tragedy that what we have been created to control for some reason is now controlling us. On the other hand, I believe COVID-19 is a mirror with a hidden message.
And only leaders who have the spiritual eyes and can take a closer look can see what is in the mirror. These are leaders who do not just have sight, but insight.
Somewhat similar to historical account of Adam and Eve, we are cladding our faces because directly or indirectly we, as current leaders, and leaders in the course of history, have neglected to do what we know to do [Leadership Omission] or doing that which we know not to do (Leadership Commission).
An Introduction
In this 5-part series on COVID Mindset, I will take us on a journey of the prevailing mindset that created COVID-19.
So, what is COVID mindset?
COVID Mindset is the prevailing thought process that is willing to settle for less in the face of greater and better opportunity to make something out of nothing or out of crisis, chaos, and confusion.
COVID mindset is the mindset of humanity, but much so of leaders whom God has chosen, appointed, selected, or elected to be the gatekeepers of value.
What is value?
Value means different things to different people. Before I describe the kind of value I am talking about, let us describe who the leader is.
Who is a leader?
A leader is someone who has divine power and authority to create, sustain and multiply transformative value.
Since the beginning of time, leaders are central to the continual existence of what we call the world.
Either in the home, school, business, churches, other houses of worship or in governing, leaders are the people God has chosen to be agents of stability and servants of God
Leaders are men and women, old or younger, blacks, white and every shade in between. They all have a common purpose – creativity, innovation, sustenance, safety, progress that ensures life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
God relationship with humanity has always been through the leaders. God has chosen leaders to represent Him before the people. God first created all the life supporting systems of the world like the sun, moon, stars, ocean, vegetation etc. God created all things for our good and His good pleasure.
These leaders either know God personally through Jesus Christ as in Christianity or they are simply God fearers as in the case of the Babylonian, Persian, and Roman leaders. But once they assume leadership, they will know why they are in leadership – God will make sure they do.
When leaders have led with honor and reverence of God in their lives and to go public about it, God has showered His blessings on such leaders and their nation or organizations have prospered. And when leaders have not, God removes them and chooses another to replace them in order to prevent further damage to God’s integrity in creation.
God’s integrity in creation is to uphold His reason for creating the world, a world that will continually reflects the Beauty of His Glory. God wants the world to reflect His Beauty as a testimony that the world did not happen by chance.
Just as the sun, moon and stars declare the glory of God, mankind is to do even greater for man is made in the image of God. Leaders are those who stand in the gap to ensure it.
Gods has no partiality in who to leads. God has raised up women and men of diverse background and nationality in the world to lead and represent Him well before the people.
COVID-19 is one of the strange viruses that has been created from the human matrix of leadership responsibility or lack thereof.
In conclusion, leaders have played the central role in what created COVID-19. God raised up leaders in all the five segments of the society to be His gatekeepers to the Beauty of His Glory. Many leaders over the course of history have used their positions to create counterfeit values that led to COVID19.
What is counterfeit value?
